Hobart Anglers 2010


RULES


Fees: Membership is $20.00 per person. Only members in good standing will be allowed to vote for officers, tournament dates, and lakes.

You may pay 1/2 membership fee at each of the first two tournaments.

Entry Fee is $80.00 per boat with an optional $5.00 per team member for


BIG BASS POT.

Pay back for each tournament will be 1st = 46%, 2nd = 26%, 3rd = 16%, and 4th = 12% after 20% of  the total purse is deducted for the Championship Tournament.

Four places will be paid when 24 boats or less are entered in the tournament.

5 places paid for 25 to 29 boats, 6 places paid for 30 to 34 boats, etc.

The Championship Tournament will pay 5 places.

 

Hobart Anglers Club WILL NOT be responsible for any accidents, theft, or

property damage before, during, or after any tournament.


NO ALCHOHOLIC beverage consumption and NO ALCHOHOLIC

beverages in the boat during tournaments or you will be DISQUALIFIED.


ALL LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL LAWS MUST BE OBEYED!


Each person in the boat must be a paid contestant in the tournament.

Substitutes are allowed, but you must specify before the tournament, which team will receive points.

All contestants are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship,

courtesy, safety, and conservation.


It is mandatory that all operating, traveling, and tournament expenses are equally shared between partners.


If a contestant is late for take off of a tournament, he or she must locate a paid participant, provide entry fee, and request a live well inspection

BEFORE they start to fish. NO entry fees will be accepted after a

tournament.


If a contestant leaves the tournament before weigh in, he or she must tell another member or leave a message on the tournament chairman’s

windshield.

FAILURE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE WILL RESULT IN ZERO POINTS.

 

Your live well must be inspected at the designated ramp before your boat is unloaded.

All tournaments will start by drawing for take off position. Trailering is

Allowed, however contestants cannot leave from the designated ramp until their drawn take off number is called.

Those contestants that do trailer must be at the designated weigh-in area

at official stop time or penalties will apply.


You must be at the designated ramp and no lines in the water at official stop time.

You will be penalized one pound per minute up to a maximum of 5 pounds if you are late for weigh-in or continue to fish after official stop time.

After 5 minutes late for weigh-in, you will be disqualified.

NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!


Each team may weigh five (5) largemouth, smallmouth, or spotted Bass.

Minimum length per species will depend on state and lake regulations. Club minimum length limit is 12 inches for lakes with no length limit.

All fish will be measured on golden rule, mouth closed and tail pinched.

Artificial baits only. No live or prepared baits permitted with the exception of pork rinds. Only one (1) fishing rod may be used at any one time.

Trolling is not permitted. All fishing must be done while in the boat.

Adequate live wells are mandatory i n each boat.


All Bass will be returned to the lake with the exception of a trophy Bass.

Dead fish may be weighed at the tournament chairman’s discretion.

A 2 ounce or 13/100ths penalty will apply for each dead fish.

Short fish will not be weighed and a one pound penalty will be assessed for each short fish brought to weigh-in.

A tie will be resolved first by number of fish weighed, second by largest fish, and third by coin toss.

 

PROTEST

Contestants have the right to protest within 15 minutes after weigh-in has started.

Judgement will be determined by the officers of the Hobart Anglers Club.

 

TROPHIES

1st place trophies will be provided for the winning team.

Angler Team of the Year will be awarded jackets with a $50.00 maximum per jacket.


CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION

You must participate in or pay entry fees for five (5) regular season

tournaments to qualify for the Championship tournament.

 

ANGLER TEAM OF THE YEAR

Points will be awarded as follows:

1st place finish   50 points

2nd place finish    49 points

3rd place finish    48 points

Etc.


25 points will be given to each team member that participates in a tournament.
