WOBAA
FOSS LAKE RESTORATION PROJECT
Over the years Foss lake has had a large decrease in available structure suitable for large mouth bass habitat and reproduction. This has had an impact on the quantity and quality of the bass population.
Our club is making an effort to re-establish the needs of the bass. The efforts in the past include adding structure by adding trees, notching shoreline trees, planting additional trees, planting aquatic vegetation, and adding bait fish.
2007

One of our projects for 2007 was adding bait fish to the lake to help restore the baitfish population. With the help of the TBF/FLW and the National Guard, we were able to purchase threadfin shad for the lake. The Foss Lake Association and many others were involved in making this happen. I have included a few pictures below. The ODWC was able to confirm water quality and conditions at Lochow Ranch Fisheries management facility in Texas. WOBAA would like to extend a very special Thanks to all who contributed.

The ODWC has provided us with some shoreline vegetation. Several of the guys pitched in to help get some new vegetation established in the lake. For 2007 we have planted 2 pickup loads of Water Willow. Were hoping this will help establish some very good Threadfin Shad reproduction. I was unable to get photos of the first planting, but here are a few from the last.

2006
The ODWC was able to provide about 300 bass that were removed from an overstocked lake. These fish were taken during an electro-fishing survey and transported to Foss Lake.
